that the 100-year-old "miracle drug" is a powerful weapon against
numerous forms of the disease, both reducing the risk of cancer and
preventing tumors from spreading. But many experts have advised against
the daily use of aspirin for preventive purposes, saying the risks of
gastrointestinal bleeding and hemorrhagic strokes outweighed the
benefits. New studies as well as advancing technology may change their
recommendations.
